PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan selected Verizon LiveSource as the recipient of the 2006 Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Leadership in the North American directory assistance (DA) market. Verizon LiveSource manages the retail and wholesale DA and operator services business unit of the Verizon companies. Tackling daily DA call volumes of over 3 million, Verizon LiveSource currently reigns over both the retail and wholesale DA market. More than 60 percent of the total DA demand is generated from wholesale DA as Verizon supports DA operations of leading U.S. wireless carriers, regional ILECs and CLECs.
