Road to be closed for sale on Office Covered Bridge

WESTFIR - The Old Mill Road off Highway 58 at the Office Covered Bridge will be closed Saturday, county officials said.

The bridge portion of the road will be closed from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a sale of covered bridge commemorative coins. The Oakridge High School Class of 2007 grad night, and Lane County Youth Services Culinary Arts Program will be selling food.

Drivers can bypass the closure by taking the Westfir-Oakridge Road.

LCC student association

to hold annual powwow

The Lane Community College Native American Student Association will hold its annual powwow on Saturday.

Grand entries will be at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the campus in the main gym, Building 5, 4000 East 30th Ave. A free dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
