Last year everything seemed to go so smoothly for Nyssa as the Bulldogs went 13-0 to capture their first state football title in school history.

This year has been a rougher road, yet Nyssa finds itself back at Autzen Stadium Saturday with a chance to add another state title. The second-ranked Bulldogs (11-2) will play No. 3 Santiam Christian (12-1) at 5 p.m. in the OSAA Class 3A championship game.

Nyssa is making its second appearance in the title game and trying to go 2-for-2 after defeating Vale 19-2 in the 2A final last year.
