CORVALLIS - It's been called a homecoming game, of sorts, because about one-seventh of Oregon State's travel squad for the team's game against Hawaii on Saturday night in Honolulu will have ties to the islands.

"We've got a bunch of guys from Hawaii," said Al Afalava, a sophomore free safety, one of seven OSU players - active or inactive - from Kahuku High School in Laie, Hawaii.

"They are excited. This is the game they really have been looking forward to. We've been excited about this game since we learned about it last winter."

Oregon State officials said on Tuesday that some 70 players will make the trip...
