FORT McPHERSON Ga.--While pay and benefits have gotten better in recent years for Army Reserve Soldiers and members of the other reserve components, there is still some room for improvement. This was the view of a top Department of Defense official, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs Thomas E Hall, expressed during a visit to the U.S, Army Reserve Command (USARC) headquarters at Fort McPherson, Ga. in August 2006.
