DSW (formerly Shonac Corp.) sells discounted brand-name footwear for men and women through about 200 stores in 32 states. About a half dozen stores carry footwear for kids. In addition to more than 2,000 styles of dress, casual, and athletic shoes, stores offer handbags, hosiery, and accessories. DSW's Thrill of the Hunt TV ads features fashionable women eyeing the same desirable pair of shoes, then transitions to them closing in "for the kill." The company opened about 30 stores in 2005 and plans to maintain that pace through 2010....
