Ice, cranes, and ship repairs -- no, it's not a sequel to the movie Titanic; it's the business of The Manitowoc Company. The company makes ice-making, beverage-dispensing, and refrigerating products, as well as cranes and other material-handling equipment. Its ice-making and beverage-dispensing machines serve the restaurant, hospitality, and convenience store markets. Manitowoc sells its boom cranes, tower cranes, telescopic cranes, and related equipment to companies in the construction and mining industries. The company, which began at the turn of the 20th century as a shipbuilder, also has a marine segment with shipyards that build, service, and repair commercial and military vessels.

Shares were up 7% after the heavy equipment company's management issued a 2007 guidance ahead of Wall Street expectations.
