Fostering habitat enhancement for future Magnolia State hunters: QDMA chapter hosting membership banquet Thursday.

Today's deer hunters are the smartest, craftiest, most engaged group of individuals in all of the hunting sports. The main reason for this is that these hunters are more in tune with building up our wildlife resources than ever before. These folks spend an inordinate amount of time studying ways to improve their hunting situations, applying what they have learned, spending money on it, and then fine tuning the whole process again and again, season after season.

This is magnified ten-fold for private landowners or lease holders who look out for the welfare of their own hunting grounds. But this does not negate the interest also being shown today in public resources and how they are managed as well. Slowly but surely most of the crusty old school ways are being laid to rest about how best to deer hunt, and how to care for the resource.
