CANBERRA, Nov 13 Asia Pulse - Australia's highest court will rule tomorrow on a challenge to the government's use of the constitution to take control of state industrial laws.

Five state governments and two union groups challenged the federal government's use of the constitution's corporations power to override state IR systems and create a unified national regime.

The Work Choices laws came into effect in March this year.

As well as creating a national system, the changes also scrapped unfair dismissal protection for workers in small to medium sized businesses, pushed more workers onto individual contracts and pared awards back to a set of minimum standards....
