When the Chicago Film Critics Association announced its top 100 scariest movies of all time last week, many Daily Herald readers rose up in protest, charging that their favorite cinematic fright fests had been left out.

So, here comes "Scariest Movies of All Time - The Sequel," all the scary movies that didn't make the CFCA top 100, but that continue to haunt the dreams of local residents. Some responses have been edited for space.
