Once upon a time Novavax (NASDAQ:NVAX) focused primarily on the development and manufacture of prescription pharmaceuticals targeted at women. Pre-natal vitamins, oral contraceptives, hormone replacement therapies, topical creams including ESTRASORB and ANDROSORB, which deliver estrogen and testosterone and are both now licensed to third parties. Changing gears in 2005, focus is now on biopharmaceuticals, including the development of vaccines for avian flu, HIV/AIDS, melanoma, and E-selectin tolerogen (secondary stroke prevention).

Shares were up 9% due to CDC win.
