Shell Oil Co. President John Hofmeister stopped off in San Diego on Sept. 13 as part of a 50-city tour the oil giant is conducting to talk about gas prices and other issues related to energy. He was accompanied by Robert Pease, president of Shell Oil Trading.

Shell Oil, a division of Royal Dutch Shell PLC, is one of the largest oil producers in the world. In the United States, it has more than 22,000 employees, including more than 2,000 in California.

Hofmeister and Pease sat down with the Business Journal for a brief interview before flying off to Irvine, and beyond.
