The real estate community needs to understand the nature of the incentives being offered by the federal government, warned Brian S. Andrews, a Louisiana commercial lender doing business from Jackson to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

"The primary GO Zone incentives applicable to real estate, including bond financing, tax credits and bonus depreciation, are not cash balances being held by the federal government or the State of Mississippi to be distributed for needy causes," said Andrews, CMB, of Baton Rouge-based Andrews Commercial Mortgage, LLC.
