Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - A 50th anniversary celebration banquet will be today at 6:30 p.m. at the Spencer Creek Grange, corner of McBeth Rd. and Lorane Hwy. The celebration will continue Sunday with a festive service using "The Service Book and Hymnal" and hymns from the 1956 service of dedication. An open house will follow from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a light luncheon and refreshments. Tickets $25 for catered dinner buffet tonight. Information: 686-0583.

St. Mathew's Episcopal Church - The annual auction and raffle will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the church, 4110 River Road. Appetizers will be served. Information: 746-2080.

Temple Beth Israel - Torah Study will be today at 10 a.m. and Shabbat Shuva morning service at 10:30 a.m. at the synagogue, 2550 Portland St. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Rest-Haven Memorial Park, 3900 Willamette St., and the Erev Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre) service at 6:30 p.m. at the Shedd Institute, 868 High St. Yom Kippur morning service, which includes Yizkor, will be at 9 a.m. Monday; children's service for ages 2-4 at 9 a.m.; children's service for ages 5-7 at 10 a.m.; children's service for ages 8-12 at 11 a.m.; break from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Yom Kippur afternoon service at 5 p.m.; and Ne'ila service at 6 p.m. Break fast following the service. Child care available for Erev Yom Kippur and both Yom Kippur services, pre-registration required. Tickets for Erev Yom Kippur must be obtained in advance. Information: 485-7218.
