Curtis Adams almost got himself killed trying to bring you the most exciting thing to happen to live magic since David Copperfield made it sexy and mysterious back in the 1980s.

Training for motorcycle stunts five years ago, the now 23-year-old had a near-fatal accident. It left a small scar under his right eyebrow that reminds him how close he once came to losing his dream.

"Half an inch to the right I would have hit my temporal lobe. Half an inch to the left I would have hit my eye. Both would have, you know, killed me," he says by telephone from his adopted hometown of Las Vegas.
