MINNEAPOLIS - In retrospect, White Sox general manager Kenny Williams wishes he would have pushed an unorthodox idea a bit harder.

Wary of the "stressful innings" Sox starting pitchers piled up during the 2005 season and all the way through the playoffs, Williams hatched a plan in spring training to open the '06 season with a six-man rotation.
