The fall election season is just about on us. While we will select new officials and re-elect some incumbents, the real impact in November will be the election of a new governor, a new congressman and the outcome of more than a hand full of bond issues.

In coastal North County alone, if you live in districts in Oceanside, Carlsbad or Vista that are served by Tri-City Hospital, Proposition T will cost those taxpayers $23.40 per $100,000 of real estate value to raise $600 million to enlarge the facility. If you live in the Carlsbad Unified School District area you will be paying $27 per $100,000 of real estate value on your property for the next 30 years.

If you live in the Palomar College District, voters will determine whether or not those residents...
