"There is definitely a seasonal aspect to aerial photography. Many of our customers are either in the mapping or survey business, or a county government agency that's responsible for aerial photography for various applications, such as agriculture studies.
"The best time of year for aerial mapping is when there are no leaves on the trees or snow on the ground," Stiller explains. "We get very busy in February, March and April, as well as in the late fall, with a slow-down in July and August."
Though many ordinary consumers are becoming increasingly aware of satellite imaging, due in part to affordable global positioning systems for automobiles and weather mapping during horrific hurricane seasons, the majority of HAS customers stick to winged aircraft.
