WAYNE, Pa. -- Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. (NYSE: SFE), which builds value in high-growth life sciences and information technology companies, today announced a $15 million Series A financing for NuPathe, Inc. of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Safeguard provided $6 million of the round. NuPathe, a specialty pharmaceutical company, will use the capital raised in this financing to advance the company's expanding clinical programs including development of therapies to treat migraine and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders.
