NEPTUNE, N.J.-Jersey Shore University Medical Center broke ground on a $290 million expansion and renovation project that includes new patient-care pavilions, a diagnostic and treatment building with the latest technologies, parking garage, and enhanced visitor and patient amenities, officials said. The project, which is designed to enhance available services and increase capacity, also includes a new emergency department and trauma center that can accommodate 100,000 patient visits annually.
