The proposal: A bronze statue and three art panels, within a small garden, commemorating the forced removal of 120,000 Japanese- Americans from their homes in World War II

Where: Next to the Hult Center at Sixth Avenue and Willamette Street, near the old civil control station that once stood at 34 W. Sixth Ave., where Japanese-Americans were required to report to be shipped to camps

When: Construction is to start in September, with a public dedication ceremony on Feb. 19, 2007 - the 65th anniversary of Executive Order 9066
