CORRECTION (ran 9/2/2006): A story on the front page of Wednesday's Register-Guard about new census data included an incorrect figure for Oregon's median household income in 2004-05. The figure should have been $43,276.

SALEM - Oregonians haven't regained their levels of wealth or rate of insurance they enjoyed before the last recession hit, according to new U.S. census data.

The new state-by-state figures show that Oregon's median household income stood at $46,276 - down $4,624 from the inflation-adjusted income figure for 1999-2000.
