LOCAL SAT SCORES

The maximum points possible on each section of the SAT test is 800. Results for Eugene and Springfield high schools compared to the state:

Oregon: 55 percent took the test; average of 523 on reading, 529 on math and 503 on writing

Churchill: 59 percent took the test; average of 528 on reading, 530 on math and 502 on writing

North Eugene: 47 percent took the test; average of 519 on reading, 516 on math and 490 on writing

Sheldon: 55 percent took the test; average of 559 on reading, 571 on math and 533 on writing

South Eugene: 74 percent took the test; average of 604 on reading, 610 on math and 578 on writing

Willamette: 32 percent took the test; average of 500 on reading, 495 on math and 474 on writing

Thurston: The information was unavailable.

Springfield: 20 percent took the test; average of 532 on reading, 531 on math and 499 on writing
