Nuisance tickets, trash on her mind

I am all for making a better, cleaner Elgin. However, I think we need to redefine the rules for the nuisance code violations.

My daughter put a perfectly good, white plastic chaise lounge on the parkway knowing that someone would take it and give it a good home, rather than throwing it away and adding to the landfill problem.

It was not broken, nor an eyesore, and not in any category that I can find in the nuisance code. The chaise was in the yard for less than two hours...
