Whoever said we have a do-nothing Congress obviously hasn't met Bobby Jindal.

Jindal, a Louisiana congressman, flew into action last week when his wife, Supriya, unexpectedly went into labor one early morning at their home in Kenner, La. Without missing a beat, the native Louisianan got to play doctor, delivering 8-pound, 2-ounce Slade Ryan Jindal. An ambulance arrived shortly after the baby's arrival. "Everyone is doing great,'' says Trey Williams, a spokesman at the congressman's home office in Metairie.

Supriya had been to the hospital the day before with pains thought to be contractions, Williams says. But doctors told the mother of two that she had time before her third baby would arrive.
