Technology services firm takes entrepreneurial lists by storm; sales, growth surging at SkillStorm, Inc.

San Diego-based SkillStorm, Inc. is making national headlines.

Entrepreneur magazine ranked the business 13th on its Hot 100 list of America's fastest-growing entrepreneurial companies published in June, compared with ranking 27th on the list in 2005.

Ernst & Young has nominated SkillStorm's founder, president and chief executive officer, Hany Girgis, as one of three finalists for its 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the high-tech category.

And soon to be announced is Girgis' nomination for San Diego Metropolitan magazine's seventh annual "40 Under Forty" list, which will spotlight 40 noteworthy San Diegans under the age of 40 in September.

All of the attention is focused on SkillStorm's penchant for phenomenal growth.

When the technology company was founded in 2002, revenues were $490,000. Last year, revenues exceeded $26 million.

Girgis, 34, said he expects growth to further accelerate in the next few years.

"We're hoping to grow at least 100 percent this year," Girgis said. "Then our goal is to be a $100 million...
