The bride wore khaki shorts, a white sleeveless top and a white wedding veil. The groom also wore khaki shorts, a black T-shirt with an imprint of a tuxedo on the front, a large, yellow smiley face on the back and tennis shoes laced with yellow strings that read - Tami (heart) Dave.

The wedding ceremony of Eugene's Tami Young and Dave Bonney on Friday might have been casual, to say the least, but it was born out of something deadly serious.

Cancer.

And what better place for a bride and her cancer-surviving groom to exchange vows than the American Cancer Society's 13th annual Relay for Life at Lane Community College? So that's just what they did, in the track's infield grass, in front of family and friends and thousands of onlookers who might not know them, but know well their cause.
