Garrett Wilson has been umpiring baseball games in Lane County since he was 13 years old.

He was behind the plate and on the bases for games ranging from Babe Ruth to high school to University of Oregon club sports, and he worked a few times at Civic Stadium.

Now 20, the Creswell High School graduate has been back to Eugene this summer during his first season as a Northwest League umpire. He and partner Casey Meadows were at Civic Stadium when the Eugene Emeralds hosted Boise for a five-game set earlier this month.
