A memorial service for former Oregon men's basketball player Kenneth Hays will be held today at 10 a.m. at Junction City High School.

Hays, who died of cancer on July 20 at the age of 81, played for the Ducks from 1944-47 under head coach John Warren.

The 1944-45 team won a school record 30 games and defeated Utah in the Western Regional third-place game of what was then only an eight-team NCAA Tournament.
