Bears tight end Desmond Clark couldn't help but hear all the talk during the spring about how badly the Bears needed help at his position.

It was almost a constant clamor.

After catching 44 passes in 2003, his first season with the Bears, the 6-foot-3, 249-pound Clark caught just 24 balls in each of the last two seasons. His receiving yardage has plunged from 433 in 2003 to 282 in 2004 and 229 last season.
