Garrett Kasper set his sights high while growing up in Lisle.

As a teen, he considered career choices and dreamed of being part of the Navy's Blue Angels. The soaring precision and choreographed skills of the naval aviators he saw in an air show as a young boy fascinated him.

Each year, the acclaimed military pilots of the Blue Angels dazzle an estimated 15 million spectators with their meticulous aerial artistry. The team will log more than 125,000 miles crisscrossing the United States to appear in 69 air shows in 35 locations during its eight-month show season in 2006. The characteristic navy blue and gold F/A-18 Hornets fly as close as 18 inches apart in four-jet Diamond or six-jet Delta formations. Dedication, teamwork and professionalism are hallmarks of the Blue Angels along with intense training.
