Could anything be finer than FINA? Alon USA Energy is the driving force behind FINA-branded marketing and refining operations throughout the Southwest. Alon USA Energy, a subsidiary of Alon Israel Oil Co., was formed in 2000 to acquire FINA Inc.'s downstream assets. The company provides fuel to 1,250 FINA-branded retail sites. It also operates 167 convenience stores under the 7-Eleven brand. Alon USA Energy's core refinery, in Big Spring, Texas, has a production capacity of 70,000 barrels per day. Alon USA Energy is also a leading asphalt producer. In 2005 the company sold more than 500 miles of pipelines and terminals to Holly Energy Partners for $120 million. Alon Israel Oil owns 74% of Alon USA Energy.
