...NGAS Resources (formerly Daugherty Resources). The former gold and gas exploration company now primarily searches for and produces natural gas (and some oil) in the Appalachian and Illinois basins through subsidiary Daugherty Petroleum. NGAS Resources has proved reserves of 73.3 billion cu. ft. of natural gas and 328,696 barrels of oil. In 2004 the company began to operate Duke Energy's Stone Mountain natural gas gathering system. It acquired this system in 2006. The company also owns Sentra Corporation, Kentucky public utility. NGAS Resources' inactive mining assets are in the Aleutian Islands.
