Seth Tarver and his Jesuit teammates knew the fate of the OSAA Class 4A boys track and field meet came down to his final leg of the 4x400-meter relay.

"I knew we had to get third to tie and I heard second to win," Tarver said. "My teammates did a great job and got me the baton in the lead. I gave up the lead, but we were able to get second so it is still great because it helped us win the state championship."
