Westbound turn to close at Agate and Franklin

The westbound turn pocket at Agate Street and Franklin Boulevard next to the University of Oregon will close on Tuesday - forever.

The main westbound entrance to the UO from Franklin Boulevard has been changed to East 13th Avenue, one block to the east. A new signal has been installed.

Lane Transit District crews plan to begin excavating the Agate Street turn lane on Tuesday to build a new EmX lane and continue building the bus rapid transit system's Agate Station. The excavation work is expected to take about 10 days and should not affect travel through the area.
