PROVO, Utah - Oregon freshman Rachel Yurkovich is still chasing her personal best in the javelin, but the next time she gets a chance to beat that mark, it will be on the national stage.

Yurkovich, who uncorked the second-best throw in UO history at 179 feet, 10 inches at the Oregon Preview back in March, claimed the javelin title at the NCAA West Regional Track & Field Championships at BYU's Robison Track Complex on Friday with a 165-7 effort.
