What's on readers' minds: Letter volume fell this week from last week's Olympian heights. With election mail out of the mix, writers returned to immigration reform, gas prices and the proposed Triad hospital site at Delta Ridge as their most frequent topics.

In addition, anger over publication of offensive cartoons of Jesus by The Insurgent newspaper at the University of Oregon emerged as a hot topic among letters writers. Most were critical of the UO's official response to the controversy.
