When she was first lady in 1993, Hillary Rodham Clinton was asked how she could help small businesses afford her health-care plan.

She replied that she couldn't worry about "every undercapitalized entrepreneur in America."

Given the skyrocketing cost of health-care premiums since then, let's hope that Sen. Clinton's thinking doesn't permeate the U.S. Senate when it begins debate on Small-Business Health Plans in May.
