QUARTERBACKS

Dennis Dixon and Brady Leaf, both juniors and both with game experience earned from sharing the position over the final four games of last season, didn't do anything to change that order on the depth chart during somewhat inconsistent springs. The only other quarterback on the roster is walk-on sophomore Kyle Bennett, who will battle three incoming freshmen to keep that role. `Dennis is the starter, Brady is the backup,' UO coach Mike Bellotti repeated more than once. `This team has learned both can win, and we'll need both over the course of a season.'

RUNNING BACKS

The Ducks ended the spring describing Jeremiah Johnson and Jonathan Stewart as co-starters, and fellow sophomore Terrell Jackson had his moments as well. `We're three deep in quality and they all do things a little differently,' Bellotti said.
