Playing quarterback successfully, Brady Leaf mused, has a lot to do with making the right decisions.

Encouraging, then, that Leaf decided early in his Oregon days that he might not find a better role model, or friend, than Kellen Clemens.

A tough quarterback, a great teammate, a composed leader.

"When you have a guy like that in front of you, it helps you succeed," Leaf said. "He did a lot of right things. I love following him, and I hope I can do what he did for this university. I don't know if I'm going to quite reach that stature, but I'm going to try."
