While most sports are postponed or canceled when it rains, track and field continues on through the cold, rain and sometimes even snow.

The rain held off for most of the day at Glenbard West for the 26th annual Jim Arnold Invitational, but that didn't dampen the spirits of several of the area's top track teams.

Wheaton Warrenville South won the meet with 80 points and Glenbard South was second with 69, while St. Charles East placed fifth with 48 points. Larkin was 12th with 17 points, and Kaneland and Batavia tied for 13th with 15 points each.

The Saints placed several athletes in the top six to score points, but junior Alex Jackson scored 20 points all by himself by winning both the 200 (22.5 seconds) and 400...
