Heather Meadows remembered being disappointed when the drive-in movie theater closed while she was growing up in New Jersey.
So when the Geneva mom was headed down North Avenue last year and spotted West Chicago's Cascade Drive-in, she just had to go.
"It was kind of a nostalgic thing. I really wanted to go check it out," said Meadows, who moved to the Chicago suburbs last year from Washington, D.C.
Since then, Meadows, husband Craig and children Aidan, 6, and Riley, 14 months, have returned three more times.
In addition to being a good value, Aidan can talk during the first movie and both kids can sleep during the second one.
They haven't brought the family dog yet, but they're allowed to.
