BURLINGTON, Mass. -- HealthGate Data Corp. today announced that it has entered into a joint development agreement with KU HealthPartners, Inc. (KUHP) to create interdisciplinary plans of care, including evidence-based guidelines, point-of-care tools, alerts, and order sets, for HealthGate's flagship product Quality Architect(TM). KUHP is a not-for-profit, clinical enterprise operated by the University of Kansas School of Nursing and School of Allied Health.

The University of Kansas School of Nursing, which recently celebrated its centennial, took an early leadership position when it became the first college to integrate an electronic health record as a teaching platform; first in the nursing curriculum and then in the School of Medicine and Allied Health curriculums. By bringing together the KU School of Nursing's vast experience in primary and specialized nursing informatics practices with HealthGate's growing body of evidence-based guidelines and point-of-care tools, healthcare institutions can now provide interdisciplinary clinical teams with practical instruction based on evidentiary research.
