Betty Miller
CRESWELL - Betty Lou Miller of Creswell died March 26 of a stroke. She was 83.
She was born March 5, 1923, in Teeterville, Kan., to Roy and Pearl Chapman. She married Gordon Miller on Sept. 15, 1941, in Corvallis. He died Sept. 6, 1999.
Miller previously lived in Corvallis and Pleasant Hill. She had worked as a beautician.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Grimes of Fruitland, Idaho; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. A memorial service will be held later.
A. Wayne Andrus
A memorial service will be held April 1 for A. Wayne Andrus of Eugene, who died March 28 of congestive heart failure. He was 76.
Andrus was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Eugene, to Budd and Florence Hassell Andrus. He married Dolores "Dee" Dooney on Aug. 22, 1967, in Eugene.
He graduated from Eugene High School in 1946 and attended Pacific University and the University of Oregon. He worked as a firefighter for the Eugene Fire Department for many years until his retirement in 1982. He owned Andrus Machine Works. He enjoyed collecting license plates, automobile artifacts and miniature liquor bottles.
