One comes from Texas. The other is a local guy.

One played football and had a successful senior year as a wide receiver while the other ran and trained to recover from a knee injury.

One is a long-striding 6-foot-2 runner who uses his strides to dominate races.

The other is 5-11, who likes to see the race develop and then catch everyone from behind and destroy the field at the end.

That is just about where the differences end when it comes to Justin Hansen and Jack Howard of Libertyville.

Howard and Hansen are two of the top returning runners in the area and are among some the best in the state. So it's no wonder why they are the two leaders of the Wildcat track team for 2006.
