Price range: Appetizers $4.95 to $11.95; soups and salads $2.95 to $10.95; entrees $7.95 to $29.95; desserts $1 to $5.95

Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday; 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday

There was a time when mall dining - automatically - was suspect. Blame it on food courts, but the idea of eating a swanky meal amidst shoe, electronics and tschotcke stores just didn't jive. However, the folks behind Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, which is responsible for places like Maggiano's, Antico Posto and foodlife all but turned that notion on its ear.
