The Oregon Biennial art exhibit is coming back. And once again it might as well be called the Portland Biennial.

The 2006 Oregon Biennial, which will open July 29 at the Portland Art Museum, is to include work by 35 artists from around the state, according to an announcement last week from the museum.

All but five of the artists in the show come from Portland and its immediate environs.

Four of those five non-Portlanders work for art departments at the University of Oregon or Willamette University. And the fifth is a British-born artist living in Ashland...
