Coach: Erik Hoberg, fourth season.

Last year's record: 15-1, league champions. Defeated Sandy, 6-3, in second round of playoffs and lost to Southridge, 6-2, in third round.

Outlook: Senior starting pitcher Jerad Thompson was a first-team all-league pitcher, and Drew Irsfeld was a first-team selection as a relief pitcher. Junior Andrew Schumacher was a first-team outfielder and Josh Hogan was a first-team pick as an infielder. Jacob Franke, a transfer from North Eugene, was a second-team selection as a relief pitcher. Hogan moves from second base to shortstop, and Adam Trautman returns at third base.

Outlook: The Highlanders feature four seniors with all-league credentials, including starting pitcher Jon Keller, a first-team selection. Catcher Steven Humble earned first-team honors as a utility player last year, and shortstop Shawn Peterson was a second-team selection and second baseman Andrew Stiltner...
