SPRINGFIELD - Dane Houser singled in Jay Scott with the winning run in the eighth inning as Springfield defeated Silverton 16-15 to salvage a split of a nonleague baseball doubleheader on Tuesday at Hamlin Field. The Silver Foxes won the opener 3-1.
