DES MOINES, Iowa -- Fremont Co-operative Produce Company based in Fremont, Mich., was showcased during the National Summit on Retirement Savings (SAVER Summit), held in Washington, D.C., March 1 and 2 and sponsored by the Department of Labor (DOL). Fremont Co-operative was invited to participate in the historic forum because it was recognized in 2005 as one of The Principal(R) 10 Best Companies for Employee Financial Security, a nationwide program that honors small and medium-sized companies that excel in employee benefits.

Fremont Co-operative General Manager, Rob Zeldenrust, made the trip to the nation's capital to give a 20-minute presentation on the company's retirement program to an audience of academicians and other retirement savings experts hand picked by the DOL.
